My prints are generally masked which gives them a crisp contrast and sharpness. They are always toned at least in selenium, unless selenium is incompatible with other toners used, and are typically rated at 200 years. All the chemistry is done by myself.
Mordançage is a rare technique that removes the gelatin proportionally to the density of the print, thereby creating a 3D effect and allow the silver of the print to shine under proper lighting.
