Merci Monsieur Hessel, vous me manquerez.
ENGLISH:
Those who would like us to believe in our Brave New World, and probably might even want us to accept to live in it, will not be tormented any longer by Stéphane Hessel who died last night in his Parisian apartment, he was 95.
We are loosing one of the world's brightest optimists, and the person who inspired the movement "des indignés" and eventually Occupy Wall Street (see photographs). It is not always known that Hessel's mother had lived with her son Stéphane, the true story that inspired Jules et Jim, the book eventually made into fame by François Truffaut's film. Later the young Hessel had a relationship with Aldous Huxley's sister in law, we are among legends.
Stéphane Hessel was the perfect humanist, the unfailing defender of all worthy causes, including, and notably the Palestinian one. Le Monde publishs on him, see here.
Thank you Mr. Hessel, I will miss you.
